Hello,
While opening a Revit Project File the following message is appear. "An attempt was made to access [File Name.rvt] past its ends." Is there any one familier with this error, please help.
It can be fatal but some users seem to have found ways of rescuing the file.
Personally - and it only happened once a year ago - I had to edit the journal file to save most of my project (A'desk support did also fix it but it took a couple of weeks).
There are many threads on the subject - try entering something like
attempt was made access
in the 'search this forum' box (it does not like short words).

Thanks, but is that mean that this file is expired and no longer in use?. Also, Do the Autodesk Sopport is the only Remedy for this error?
Also please tell me what is the method to define Shortcut key for <View Range> in <Keyboardshortcuts.txt> File.
I think it normally means the file is corrupt and your safest bet is to file a support request to Autodesk.
I believe in the US they are quite quick at attending to these - in Europe it seems to take longer.
I don't see an entry in the KeyboardShortcuts.txt file to allow direct access to View Range.
