They won't until you turn them into a solid in AutoCAD. I think the command is AECEXPLODE?
Be aware that whatever view you explode them in is how they will come into Revit. If exploded in plan you'll have lines in Revit. If exploded in 3D they'll be 3D in Revit though not Revit Walls.
Your best bet is to explode in plan and retrace with Revit walls unless you need the ADT as simply a 3D background and don't need to edit them in Revit in which case exploding in 3D will be fine.

Wouldn't it be great if you could print a 2D DWF from ADT and use it in Revit as an underlay? One more area where DWF could actually solve a problem with relative ease. Any export to DWG from ADT is problematic, but printing to 2D DWF is easy, Revit just can't do anything with the file. :(

We have used the "Export to AutoCAD" that works fine.....
It is VERY frustrating that there is an EXTRA step needed to link the AutoDesk Products!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another option is to turn on PROXYGRAHICS in ADT/ACA. This will increase file size of the AutoCAD files, but then there is no need to explode anything....
