View Full Version : Embeded Walls Disappear

I have 2 walls that overlap by a couple of inches, so Revit gives me a warning... When I try to embed the walls (using cut geometry) one wall completely cuts though the other.

Is there a way to have a wall cut a few inches out of the host but not all the way though?

btw I tried using join geometry and it cleaned it up visually but the error is still there.

OK, so try this one. Before the walls are overlapping each other, you use the Join Geometry to join them. Revit will pop up the message saying that the highlighted elements are joined but don't intersect each other. That's fine. Now drag one of the walls to overlap the other wall as you want. You will notice that the "wall overlapping" message won't be there and the other message about "elements that are joined but don't intersect" won't be there either.

I hope it helps.
