To tag Structural Columns under and above floor: In Holland it is a standard(NEN 3870) that structural columns under the floor would be tagged under the line, and structural columns above the floor would be tagged above the line. This is now possible in revit but it is complex:
1. Go to 3D view elevation
2. Select everything on the 1e floor
3. use filter to select structural columns
4. Go to floor plan
5. Right click
6. Temporary hide
7. Drafting Bar
8. Tag all nog tagged structural colums tag ‘under floor’
9. Reset temporay hide isolatie
10. Tag all not tagged structural columns tag’above floor’
Perhaps this can be made easier.

2 views overlaid take care of this, with view templates set up.

Yes that is a method, but you have to add a tag in another view. This methods are not good. They are like ADT and 2D autoCAD.

For me, this principle of BIM is that all the information is in a database on 1 place. And all the drawings, schedules, tags are just a representation of this information. So every act I have to do, which is not nessecary according to this principle is 1 act to much.

It is not like 2D AutoCAD. Yes you would have to add tags to another view, but they would still update if anything in the model changes. Both views are tied to the model and everything updates parametrically, just as it should.
