We recently upgraded our office to ACA 2008, but everyone still uses it as straight AutoCAD; in fact, our office standard still puts the sheets in model space rather than paper layouts (we're behind the times, I know).

I'm in the process of adapting our office templates to a mix of ACA and autocad tools; I really like the annotative features for the most part, but I'm stuck on this aspect of the multileader tool.

I want a leader for elevation views with a straight line from the top or bottom of the block/text (see attachment), but the only option for leader attachment is from the left or right. Given the level of CAD proficiency in our office, I need a simple solution that doesn't require a lot of tweaks or training. Any ideas?

Please note I have moved this from the ACA 2008 General forum to the AutoCAD Annotation forum.

If you want the user to get it as simple as possible, try a Dynamic Block with an attribute. See attached.

Go through your ML style manager again and look at the content tab. There you specify Mtext as your content and at the bottom are the attachment options. The drop down boxes have almost every conceivable configuration in them. Will one of these not produce the desired effect?
Failing this, once you have typed the desired text, you can edit the justification of it in the MTEXT editor that will still be open, this will also allow you to move the text around relative to the leader landing line.

All the best!

The problem is that there is every conceivable format for either a left or right anchor. The OP needs it to anchor on the top or bottom of the bubble. If you just rotate the bubble to get it to look like it's anchored to the top, the text also rotates. I'd go with the dynamic block idea.
