Is it worth making the switch to Navisworks 2009.1? Has anyone done this?

I updated to 2009.1 a few weeks ago and have noticed it is much more stable. Also, I work with a lot of DWF files that would import with numbers only in the selection tree. The new release now shows the object names properly in the selection tree.

Hello, just wanted to let you know that the Switchback feature appears to be working just fine in NavisWorks Manage 2009.1. I could not get it to work in 2009. It also appears to work quite nicely with AutoCAD MEP 2009. I could select an MvPart in NavisWorks 2009.1 and using Switchback flip over to AutoCAD MEP where Switchback had launched the same file, set the view to match that found in NavisWorks, and selected the MvPart...all set for editing. Once the AutoCAD MEP file was edited, I could save the file, return to NavisWorks, hit the Refresh button, and see the change made in AutoCAD MEP. Definintely would speed up the process of resolving collisions found in NavisWorks.
See the posts regarding the Object Enablers if you need to work with AutoCAD Architecture or AutoCAD MEP in NavisWorks. Also, you need to run NWLOAD in The AutoCAD-based product before Switchback will work (it could also be run at start-up automatically). If NWLOAD doesn't run, most likely your NavisWorks 2009.1 was installed prior to your AutoCAD-based products. If so, just run through a custom reinstall of NavisWorks 2009.1 to get the necessary plug-ins installed into the Autodesk products of your choice on your system.
