metal style roofs

Can anyone assist with a decent metal roof texture profile? Here in Australia 60% of roofs are metal clad, so the lack of metal textures is making it near impossible to complete my renderings. HELP! :(

If you're talking about standing seam (or batten) type metal roofs then just set up a material of the color and finish you wish and then model the ribs or battens as in place families. Sounds like work but it isn't that tough.

Hi Bobo,

for all profiles and textures of metal roofs for us aussies - go to www.roofsearch.com.au the site has all the colorbond samples for renderings, profiles of roofing, walling and gutters. Drawing files are currently only in dwg or dgn but revit files are being developed.

thanks everyone for your help, I managed to nicely resolve the issue of textures for metal roofs. A special thanks to Bladams! :) One of the final pics attached for interest.... p.s, this is my first project with REVIT, so not too bad I think!
