Not sure if this is intended behavior, but if I select a toposurface in a view and type VH to turn off that category in that particular view, Pads also get turned off for some reason. If I open Visibility/Graphics and turn off Topography manually, then of course Pads stays on (which is a subcategory of Site).
Does this always happen or is it a bug? If not a bug, why does it do this? Does Autodesk just assume that if I don't want to see Topo then I also don't want to see pads? If that is the case, they should have made Pads a subcategory of Topography.
