Wall surface patterns not aligned!

I've got a problem. The model I'm working on has walls with a board and batten surface pattern but the pattern doesn't align with the walls above and below. Is there a point where that hatch originates? Can I change that for each wall? Also, why would they not be the same to begin with? Thoughts?

So you probably got it by using the "Align tool" isn't it? I just want to add it here so people with the same problem and looking for solutions can read both the question and how to solve it in the the same thread.

I believe a surface pattern starts at the lower left corner of a wall surface, when viewing that surface in elevation.
