"X" in xs beams

is there anyway to get the "X" automatically drawn thru a beam cut by a XS

I'm wondering about this as well. Currently I use a detail component over the top of the beam in detail or I set the beam hatch to "none" and then draw the X with detail lines but it would save so much time if there was a way to have revit draw the X for me. Does anyone know of a way to do this?

I am going to try some experiments

one being make the beam into four parts so the edges are where one would want the "X" but not sure how this would work out.

How about an Embedded Detail Component - Linked to the Size of the Size of the Beam. That way when the beam is cut - the 3d is not shown - but the Detail Component.
