Area reinforcement symbols

I am trying to create a two symbols for area reinforcement, one that will show major reinforcement bar and extents line with arrows at ends, and then another that will show minor reinforcement bar and extents line with arrows at ends. I have been playing around with the standard area reiforcment symbol which shows reinforcement in both directions at the same time without any extents lines, however this is not they way our company details. The only way I have been able to achieve what I want is by turning off all reinforcement layers in the area reiforcement properties except for the layer that I want the symbol to represent, howevert this would lead me to having to create several area reinforcement areas ontop of each other, each with different layers tuned on and off.
Does anyone how I can create the symbols I described above.

the controls are in the and formula's as they point to the lines they want to show up. There are some hardcoded bits and pieces that can't be changed, but you should remove just the minor stuff and just the major and keep it like that, it will detect how you are setting up the reinforcement.
