View Full Version : cut plane in walls but also see trusses above

cannot seem to get top view of a roof frame where you can see the cut plane of the walls below but also see the trusses that rest on them
need to see where the windows and doors are and a light solid fill on the wall core..

is this done by two views superimposed on each other?? that would confuse others if they have to work on the plan set

Leave the floor plan alone. Create a new view showing the trusses and underlay the floor plan into that view. Underlays shouldn't confuse anyone that knows their way around Revit.

have level called wall cut view going thru 6' above finish floor
but when it is underlayed in the view showing the trusses it does not show up???

Try hiding whatever's covering up the underlay in view (ceilings? walls?) BTW what firm in Honolulu are you with? I work for Durrant Media Five

If your Truss is in a family, draw an invisible line within the family, coming down from it so the invisible line will intersect your cut plane. You will then be able to see the truss as long as your top view plane is above it.
