can conponents be made in wall so that when cx are done the plates show

You could probably run a sweep containing the detail you want as part of the wall and it would show in sections, but this workaround doesn't always give you the results you want...
That said, it is probably a better idea just to create a section and load a detail component to it.

have been using masking but it is tedious process...
might experiment later
wonder if they will ever have full framed walls

I use repeating detail with plate loaded (90X35) set to max spacing 1350 and pick and lock to frame wall edge. This give you top & bottom plate as well as noggin. locked to the wall in section.

You can do it, but IMHO its not worth the hassle. Ive seen the detail components "bounce" to outside the wall, if the wall had a 45 degree turn at the end of it, even though the section was cutting the wall at a perfectly perpendicular angle.
Full framed walls? While i think it would be awesome (even moreso for block and brick), i think it would be a performance disaster. 3D models get heavy enough as it is... If every stud configuration starts showing up in the model, i think were toast, LOL.
