semi transparent shade

tried the filled region with a lite gray solid but want to see semi see thru it.... or is there another way...

Setting the fill to transparent is all the way or none, even with overrides, no half-way with drafting tools... but, you can see through it at least even if that doesn't sound like the desired effect...

looks like a dense hatch pattern will have to do
know there are some plotter setting for this but always found that many trials and errors
