View Full Version : Strange Seam Lines on Joined Walls

I'm trying to make a model that is presentation quality, but I can't seem to get rid of seam lines between joined walls. Before the walls are joined, there is a thin black line separating them, and when I join them, a seam is still visible (usually gray). I've attached a screen capture, with the lines I'm talking about pointed out. They don't show up on every single join, but I can't figure out a pattern and it's driving me crazy!
Any ideas? thanks in advance for your time...

I find that those lines don't appear when I print.

thanks! that's good, but what if I need to make a digital presentation, or add it to our website portfolio?

You can print it to pdf and then include that in your digital presentation.

You could also try the linework tool and apply an "invisible" line to the edge. This will need to be done amnually and will be view specific.

the linework tool does not let me select these lines, after all, they're supposedly seamless wall joins.

good idea, but printing to PDF didn't really work either. one or two of the lines disappeared, but I think they were just a part of the lost detail in the low resolution output.
I'll probably just have to photoshop them out. could be worse...

I find that if you zoom in farther, those lines usually disappear.
But then I've had some joined walls show a black line when joined, even when they were exactly aligned and both the same wall type! Super frustrating as I had to use line work in every view where those walls appeared!
