I have a block that is autogenerated by a third party software. As generated, the block needs to be burst to modify placement of elements. But when burst, there are zeroes that appear where volumes are not present. Is there a way to get the same result, but not have the zeroes appear? Burst is one of the ACAD Express tools.

Please note that I have moved this thread from the Dynamic Blocks forum as I see nothing related to dynamic blocks in the question.

An example of this block might help ... it sounds as if the zeros are some hidden attributes, since BURST explodes ATTRIB entities to TEXT - unlike EXPLODE which changes them to their ATTDEF definitions (losing any data).

if the zeroes represent attributes that are hidden within the block then my answer would be "No". I don;t think there's a way to do this without them showing up.

You get the same result if you explode the block, I think.

It's an annoyance, I know. ~shrug~

though I'm all ears if someone has a workable solution to this.

maybe going into Block Editor and deleting the attributes beforehand ...... that way the atts wouldn't show up in any of the other instances of the block being blown up ...

Couldn't the modifications be made in the block editor?

Nested blocks might be contributing to your problem as well.

Yes it certainly increases the amount of time needed to finish a project. As the desired result would not have the zeroes, I need to go back and get rid of them. And doing it via editor would take just as much time. When exploding, the formatting of the text changes, not to mention that text itself changes.
