have many 4x4 posts on piers for a foundation
however each one will have to have 2x4 braces going from the base to the floor frame..

it is not easy to place these consistentyly at lease just manually so was wondering if there is a way to use the post as a host so the braces will always join exactly at the same place namely the base.

no matter how carefull the braces are put in when viewed from an elevation view they do not align...

on this at least the ground is considered level.

If you are using structural braces, selecting them will allow you to define a level as reference and elevation from that level for start and end. This way you are sure the braces are all at the same level.

Also, if your posts are structural, they won't host the braces, but braces will attach to them.

Yes, the braces will follow because they are structural members attached too structural members.

Ray, it is my pleasure to help around here.
