You have the ability to watch a thread here, is there a way to ignore a thread/topic? I don't want to offend anyone, but occasionally I am not interested in a topic and the thread continues and I see that there is a new post and I drill down to find out it was…
Just a question -

hmmm.. I'll have to look into that Jim. Off the top of my head I think it's possible, I'll ask around to see if somone has already coded somthing like this.
for now, you'll just have "imagine" the topic isn't new

Zoog,
On the other group I belong to, once you post a reply to a thread, you are "subscribed" to that thread. Then when you go back, you can easily click on a link to "all subscribed threads" and they will list out for you. If you are done with a thread, there is an unsubscribe button. Pretty cool feature. Usually I start by reading my subscribed list, then I will click the link for Newest Thread, and all new topics from any catagory are listed in chronological order. This is a very easy way to stay up to date!
Whaddya think?

That is understood Scott, but the root of the issue is the little orange icon shows up so I drill down to find that the new post is on a thread that I am not interested in following. It is not a high priority of course, just an annoyance...
Thanks Chris -

Jim you could alway use the "new posts since last visit" link at the top right to see what's new, and weather you want to click on them or not, rather than drill down.
Scott,
I'll look into that, sounds cool.

That works great, now if there were a "mark all as read" button I could die happy

Does the "Mark all Forums Read" bring on Death then? It's right below the new since last visit link...you have to go back to the main index though.
