Group vs Link

In your opinion; would it be better to link in a seperate model of an apartment unit or just use groups to place it around the project.

Depends on the size of the project. I always use links while I'm designing. It makes it much faster for Revit to keep up. Plus I can design the units in a file all by themselves. For a mid to large project - I'll keep them as links. For a small project I'll change them to groups for better wall cleanup at the perimeter.
