thresholds on xrefs

exterior doors on my floor plan have thresholds...but when I use the floor plan as an xref in another drawing, the thresholds are not visible?

Are you using the same Display Configuration in both files? Even if the name is the same, could there be changes in your source file's display settings that are not present in the file hosting the XREF?
