I would say you probably just need to have everyone create new local files from the central file.
First, though, I would open the central file on this user's machine (or change your workset to name to match the user), and relinquish everything. After that, have everyone create new local files.

There is one user in my office who is running into the same thing. Even when she is not in the office, she will appear in the workshare montior of another user that is working in their Local file. This started happening about the same time that they got linked rvt file warnings upon opening their local copy saying that each linked model would be removed (they weren't). I had them re-detach the linked models and audit them. Then both users made new clean local copies. That seemed to fix that issue of the linked file warnings but there is still the rogue user. Where did you end up on this problem as I am now seeing that the thread is a few weeks old?
Thanks,
Jason

We had this problem when we switched computers around. Someone in the office got a new computer and the old one went to a new person. However, Revit does not reassign it's user name based on the user logging in. The other way this can get changed is if you overwrite the .ini file and didn't take your user name out beforehand. Did you move some computers around recently? Open a new project in Revit on everyone's computer, then go to Settings/Options. Under the general tab you will see a username. My guess is that you have two or more the same. Change it quick because this can cause major problems in your project.
