see atachement file for .rvt or just analize the pictures.
When i make a roof structure i use "Metric Structural Framing - Complex and Trusses.rft" family tamplate to make all my custom family for elements. I use this family template because the elements that i create from here (like beams, rafters, braces etc)are joinable one with eachother so you`ll see all the intersection nice looking in a 3d view and even in section (not need for "edit cut profile" to use).
All nice untill here.
The problem i discovered is this:
- if i join 2 of this elements the material take off display very curious things - see joined.jpg(each element has a diffrent material in order to see in section how one element "bite" from the other)
The unjoined.jpg is the correct material takeoff. What should i do to corect this thing. I have to mention that this happen only with elements made from Metric Structural Framing - Complex and Trusses.rft template.
