backups missing

does anyone know why i can't seem to find any of my backups files? when i go to File>Backups, there is nothing in the folder. i deleted a bunch of images from my model several months ago and would love to find an old version of it so i don't have to do all that work again. i'm currently using 2009 but i think i deleted the images in 2008 before i upgraded. any advice would be greatly appreciated!

When browsing the Backips folder, you will not see anything in the folder. Click on the backup folder and then Open. Then the box will come up displaying the backups.
