i have a vaulted ceiling in a tall volume......i want to cut the end (the ceiling is a generic model ) drawn in the section and extruded.....i need to model in a way where i can trim it as in the RCP

If you're making it as an inplace family you should be able to use a void extrusion to remove the material.
