Openings in imported Nurbs Surface

hi,

Looking for some advice on how other users may have placed openings in imported curved masses ('wall by face').

I can place a generic opening in my walls ok, but have no control over how it is orientated, as shown in the attached image.

Is it wiser to actually model the intended openings in the imported surface or is it feasible to model a new opening family to cope with the curved walls?

i would use a Wall based Void Family with the parameter you need to control your cut
