We use annotation drawing files to tag, dimension, etc. all of our drawings. So in this annotation file we have a Plate01.dwg xref'd into it. The Plate01.dwg has the doors in it. The tags in the annotation file are looking at the Plate01.dwg to get their information.
Unfortunatly, we have to change the name of the Plate01.dwg to Plate09. But we do not want to lose all of the tag info. If we detach that Plate01 and put Plate 09 in its place, we will have to re-do all of the tags.
I know one way around it is to unanchor all of the tags before we detach the xref. But then our tags will not be anchored anymore and we would have to individually re-anchor each tag accordingly. (same as re-tagging).
Does anyone else know of a way around this?
