Lines show up differently than definition

Why are these "medium lines" showing up thick and dashed?

I checked the definition and even tried drawing a new medium line. The definition and then new line look the same, but this line still stays as a wide dashed line. I thought it might have been the linework tool but this is a legend and the linework tool is greyed out.

Is there some other way of overriding the line type or what am I missing?

If you select an object it can be overidden at the element level. Select the object and right click. You may see an override on the object.

Yup that was it, never thought to look there. Odd that those just trained did though...
