is there any way to change the size of the floor host within a floor based generic model? be default the floor is 100 sf, but it's not dimension parameters are not editable? is it possible to change those dimensions? if not, why?

I think you can't do that because it is hard coded. But if you allow me to ask, why do you want to change that? It won't change the way your family works. If the family you are creating is larger than the floor, just do it larger. The important thing is that Revit knows that the family will be hosted by a floor.

the reason i want to do it is because i'm making a nested family and every time i drop a new family in the model i have to drop it onto the floor host before i can place it in it's proper position. in addition to this i just think it would make for much clearer graphic clarity, similar to how you can change the size of a wall in a wall based family. what happens when i need to create an object that's embedded in the floor and it falls entirely outside of the given hosted floor? ultimately, i don't really understand the reason for limiting the size of the floor since it's only a container anyway.
