Adding A landing to a Stair

I have a stair I would like to add a landing to the end of it. What I did was added a boundary to extend 5' on each side of the stair and a riser to close it. The problem is the stringer is slopping. Can this be done this way or do I need to add a separate floor slab and a profile for the stringer? If at all possible I would like to do this in the stair .

When you are in sketch mode split the green boundary line at the last step/landing, select the new lines and change the slope from autodetect to flat.
