pin position is moving my beams

This is a strange one...

I have a bunch of timber beams in my roof and when I select them and pin there position, it moves the beams.....! WHAT!

Are they jumping to coincide with grids?

Or perhaps there is a wonky CAD drawing in there causing problems? Some blocks in CAD files create jumping issues in Revit, so you need to get rid of them..

Thanks. Glad to know that I'm not going crazy.

Unfortunately I am taking over on a complex project so I think for now I just wont pin anything.

A beam system uses the "pin" icon to indicate that a beam is using the assigned size and location per the properties of the beam system. If a user un-pinned a beam to put it in the position they wanted using the "pin" again would move the beam back to its intended location (similar to a curtain wall mullion or panel).
