Hi ALL,

I need some helps on AutoCAD Mechanical 2009.

I've just moved to a new PC & have a lots of problems. One of the problems is about AutoCAD Mechanical 2009.

When I entered "%%C" for a diameter symbol in mtext, it returned a "?" mark.

1) Text style is "standard" by using "iso3098.shx"
2) fontalt = "iso3098b.shx"

It was fine on my old PC.

All language settings on the new PC are default as English. I have not changed any settings.

Old PC:
Windows XP pro
AutoCAD Mechanical 2009

New PC:
Windows Vista business
AutoCAD Mechanical 2009

with thanks in advance

it returns Ø
%%p
it returns ±
%%d
it returns º

Have you tried inserting from Symbols on the mtext editor drop-down menu?

Sorry, I was away for a long long time & thanks to ALL for your helps.

The solution was that reinstalling windows fonts & it works.

I noticed that many people have the similar issue by posting their threads in the forum.

Hope this will help for some.

That's strange. There is no connection between shx fonts and "windows fonts" - still, whatever gets it working is good.

This is what I thought, too.
Another symptom was that "Arial Black.ttf" displayed as Italic style.

It works now, anyway.
