text linked to frame objects

just to be BIM about it

often we change the size of Beams etc but the text callout for these is in several views... however if the Beam size is changed the text stays the same... and it is easy to miss the descrepency....
oh if only it was linked...

If the beams are in your project use a Beam Tag instead of text.

If they are linked you probably should not be calling out a size at all, refering the reader to the structural drawings instead. A well developed structural set of drawings is prepared such that they can stand apart from the architectural set, meaning the entire structure could be built without any input from the architectural set of drawings. By the time anyone is reading/acting on "your" detail the steel is already in-place.
