New To Worksharing Monitor

How exactly does the worksharing monitor work?

We loaded worksharing monitor on several computers, started a project and I had 2 different users with a local file open. When we open worksharing monitor it shows nothing on either of the two computers.

Any thoughts on what I am missing. Is there something that I need to do with workshare monitor to set it up?

Silly question, but you didn't mention the central file so, are the local files based off of a central file?

Yes. I save to a central file, opened it up and saved a local file.

I have found that the first time that you run WorkSharing Monitor you have to do it as a user who has administrative (install) permissions.

Right click on the Desktop shortcut and choose "Run As..." and change the ID to an administrative user.

The next time it is run by the user they should be all set. There is a slight chance that you'll have to restart the station for this to work.
