If Office Communicator, Microsoft's IM client inside of MS Office (OC), is running before I start up Worksharing Monitor then the monitor does not show up. If you look at the task manager it is there working away and as soon as the OC is closed then the monitor pops up like it has always been there. After the monitor is up I can reopen the OC.

Has any one else see this? It has happened somewhat sporadically before but it seems to be here to stay now...

Are the programs sharing a com port or common files/ protocols? Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
Nick

I actually noticed something similar with a custom program I made. My program just monitors for changes to a specified folder (our library) and notifies when something changes. On startup, my program checks through the whole library for changes since it was last run. If I try to start the worksharing monitor while my program is starting up, nothing happens until mine is done checking the files, then WSM pops up like normal. Curious, but I haven't worried too much about it...
