hello !!!!

Can anyone help me with a problem i am having

I am doing a structural roof framing plan in revit 6.1.
I can get my rafters attached to an inside face of my roof by using a working plane but the problem i am having is finding a working plane to drawin my hips and my ridge beam properly.

First model your roof, ( to the depth of the sheeting and substrate, not the rafters ) then set Reference Planes by picking each hip and the ridge from your roof plan.

Next, go to View and Framing Elevation, and place framing elevation tags for each of the Reference Planes. (These framing elevation tags will snap to the RP's.)

Now, working in each of the framing elevations, set the work plane to the underside of the roof ( top of rafter line ) and place your beams.
