Lengthen the drop down lists?

when adding familes, say walls/doors/windows etc you click on the drop down list located at the top left.

can this be lengthened to show more? at the moment it shows around 30 items

There is no way to change it :(
It would also be nice if the scrollwheel worked in it, like every other windows dropdown...

Because the list length is so limiting, I have switched to plucking families from the Project Browser. It seems to be a lot faster.
