have a footing using a profile that is the correct shape in cross seciton view. however when slab floor is put in, there is a vertical line between the footing and the slab which should not be there. but see no way to make it not visiable....

or can we hide specific lines in a profile in a cut view

yes, i know another one of those #$% questions

btw the answer to this was Join Geometry

If they are the same material you should be able to join geometry, otherwise I'm not sure it can be done...

You could cheat, and make a white line and draw over it in the view with a detail line, but I would save that for a last resort.

Bah, that'll teach me for opening topics and answering when I get to them :p

I have this same problem, and I've used the Join Geometry tool to join them together. I have two floor slabs that are the same material - I joined them but I still see a thin line between them in section. Any way to get rid of this?

could go into over rides
make projection or cut lines white
however this my just cause problems other places

does the footing and slab share a common edge or do they overlap? If they overlap and you join them, the line should disappear.

Thanks for the suggestion - by overlapping the slabs slightly I was able to get that line to disappear in most sections. In the sections where it didn't go away I was able to use the "linework" tool > "Invisible" to hide it, which I couldn't do before either. Does this mean I need to always overlap the solids slightly? I didn't do that in other cases and they cleaned up fine.
