When I am modeling a vertical brace in Revit Structure 2009, I cannot get the workpoint for my brace to be at the top of steel and the column face.

Revit keeps forcing the workpoint to the center of beam and center of column.

I know that I can modify the elevation after modeling or importing. . . Does any one know if it is possible to modify the lateral position of the workpoint as well.\

Thanks and Regards,
Greg

Of course one option is to use the tab function and the selection point will vary. The prompt at the bottom of the screen will describe what is being attached to.

Also, I have found that if the braces are not in the right point it is easier for me to redraw them than to try and modify an existing brace.

I also find working with vertical braces to be particularly troublesome, and have looked for a good tutorial on them for a while and have not found one. I would appreaciate any direction toward one that anyone can give.

The best way I have found to setup vertical cross bracing & such is to draw it in plan view as a straight horizontal member then modify the elevation of one end to make it at an angle
