Help w/ View Range in RCP

Please help me understand How View Range works in Reflected Ceiling Plan...

Eg.
My ceiling is set at 10'-0" from F.F
I have a 9'-8"wall which stops at 4" underneath the ceiling
I would like to See my RCP and my 9'-8" High (In Hidden Lines) showing through the Ceiling

Set your view range to above the wall. Then under view properties choose the floor as an underlay & use the linework tool on the wall to create the hidden lines. Then turn off the underlay. Hope this helps.
