Is this the only way to create stepped underside of stair?

i would like to know is this the only way to create stepped underside of stair? or do you have any other option.
i switched the stringer to none and added a inplace floor family below the stairs for stepped underside.

Not as far as I know - stairs have just 2 material definitions - riser and tread - no layers.
Personally, I would make the stair have the overall thickness and only show the layers in construction detailing.
