switching from 08 to 09 and i have a question

i have a project that i am starting in 09...i want to insert a view "schedules" from an 08 job....if i do that does the 08 job ((which will be complete in two days (i swear to god, it will))....get updated?....i DON'T want to do that, for fear of any surprises associated with upgrade......when i load a schedule do i pick it cleanly from another project or does that other project get upgraded?

After you finish loading the RAC 2008 job and "updating" it save it as a different name (or don't save it at all).
