Hi
Is it able to form an opening on Ramp ?
My project needs that opg. for a cable to pass through.

thanks

Question: Is it a straight ramp or a curved ramp? If its straight, you can use a sloping slab and punch a hole on it. If its curved. Try modelling it using massing object.

You cannot use the opening tool and I wasn't able to use a void. What you can do is draw the opening with the boundary and almost close it, keeping the boundary line continuous. Then use the linework tool to hide the seam.

thanks for all responses. Very helpful.
The trick that Joef raised is really an easy and quick way
to solve my problem.

It is actually a curved ramp, that's why I can't use sloping slab.
Just curious, could Junaustria say a little bit more about using
massing tools to form the ramp ?
It seems to me that the modeling tools provided are not
able to form a ramp structure.
Are you going to use swept blend ?

In theory, you can do a roof by face on a swept blended mass and ad voids to create the openings. If you don't need a layered ramp, you can model the ramp directly as an in-place family using the swept blend tool.

In reality, 99% of the time, you're not able to create a swept blend, which makes the tool useless.

AP23 guessed right what I'm proposing. We dont use our models (yet) for material take off so I used the Roof as a "Universal" object to create the ramp with an openning.
