on a project a few months ago i changed existing toposurface to red and dashed....new toposurface blue and solid....copied in same place.....now i cant remember and it was very helpful.....went back and reviewed other posts

Did you use the Graded Region tool? The will automatically make the orginal topo "existing" and anything graded will be "new" and the colors will be red and blue.

no..i may do that though....i recalled changing them manualy....think i made another linetype for it
