I Have a roof structure. Eg. 5 1/2" Rafters/1/2" Ply/Felt/Shingles......We want to demolish or remove the Felt and the Shingles....Is it possible just to demo the finishes?...
How do you guys do it?
Thanks

Presently cannot selectively demolish component parts of a roof, floor or wall.
One method: Demolish the whole roof and recreate one without the shingles in the new phase.
Another: Model two roofs, one framing, and the other just the shingles, etc. and then demo the shingles.

We are just starting Revit. I've asked the same question my self.
We're considering modelling the sheathing and shingles as a second roof in order to show the overhanging bits. This so we don't have to create a new fascia profile for every profile and every roof pitch.
We usually show the sheathing overhanging about 1/2", then we trim the fascia with 1x2 or 1x3 or 1x4, and it's clad with aluminum and a drip edge.
I will appreciate any thoughts that you get on creating two roofs.
Thanks.

I don't think I will do what I initially thought....but just just override the graphics in my Demo Plan. Just figured that it is not that Critical in Demo plans anyway.
