I have painted a brick material on the end of a wall. I need to adjust the pattern lines but it is not allowing me to do so. I have tried the align tool, and also tried selecting a pattern line and using the move tool, but no success. Is this just how it is?

I could be wrong, but I don't think you can align it as it's considered a drafting pattern.

Model patterns can be aligned.

Can you assign it as a model pattern to the wall, or do you have some that don't want to show the pattern?

By default, brick material in Revit uses a model pattern (and there's no drafting pattern for brick). That said, since brick is a model pattern it can be aligned. Just did it here, in one end of my wall. Have you checked your work plane to see if is one that allows you to select and align the pattern?

Have you tried this ?
Use Split tool to divide the face end of your wall in 2 area's.
Use Paint tool.
Align & lock pattern.

The issue is that I have a small piece of wall sticking up higher above my parapet wall, and then another wall coming from the ground all the way to the top of the piece of wall. This is an old brick chimney. I disallowed join on the full height wall so it would not cause crazy joins since it runs up past more than one wall. But that made a blank spot on the very end of the short wall up top, which is what I painted. Now it won't let me align the brick model pattern that I just painted on it.
