Family Category

Is there a way to create a new family category in Revit. I ask this because i work for a technology firm and they would like to have all of their equipment placed under one category to make it easier for everyone to find and hide.

I have searched every were and do not seem to find an answer.

You can't create a new category, but definitely can create new subcategories for a family and therefore turn them all off by turning that subcategory off.

Yeah I knew about the subcategories but i just wanted to double check. Thanks for your reply
