I know that Copy/Monitor is the tool using for the coordination
between RAC and RST models.
But can it be similarly used for RST and RME ?

Any information ?

Thats correct, though the workflow with MEP works completely differently since MEP 2009.

You wouldn't even use copy monitor outside of levels and Grids as elements can be placed on objects and you can setup room bounding properties for rooms so spaces and rooms can automatically detect there area in the linked file.

Objects can be placed on faces rather then hosted which makes life alot easier. While you can use them similar you would work differently in Revit MEP to make things more efficient.

However working with Architects files that have put service elements in can be harder. They do need a copy monitor tools for lighting, and plumbing fixtures so it would be easier. At the moment I find it easier to strip the Architectural model apart from lights and ceilings (if they are hosted) then link in the Arch model to get the basics in, though you have to use compare model or something to track changes apart from good old fashion checking. Using 2008 the workflow is similar to RST though a pain as MEP files can get slow quite quickly without proper management.
