problem since WU2

Since i installed wu2 i can not open projects done in previous versions. Prior to this update i could. It seems when i try to open an older project it gets to about 53-55 percent and just hangs. left it for an hour while i went to lunch. nothing. have to restart revit each time. Anyone else having this problem.

Do you still have a machine around with the old build on it?
If so, try opening the project on with WU1, and do an AUDIT.
I haven't heard of any problems between WU1 & WU2, but going from 2008 to 2009, it was always a good idea to AUDIT and clean up the model before upgrading.

I just opened and upgraded a project done in 2008 in 2009 WU2 without issue.

I also opened and upgraded a project done in version 9 or earlier in 2009 WU2 without issue.

Are you experiencing this on ALL of your project files created in previous versions?

Do you have any CAD references or anything like that. I remember having problems upgrading, and I went into 2008 and detached all the references, particularly CAD references, and the update worked like a charm.

WU2 is web update release 2. Now the good news about this update is you do not have to re-install Revit. This update is actually a service pack and it does not remove the old version and install the new one.Hope that helps.

I'm pretty sure all of the files have cad files in them. Though that has never posed a problem before. We do have a machine without WU2 on it. Will have to try them there. Will update this when i try it.
