Access objects within the Model

I am trying to create an application in .NET that needs to update a BIM Model with values from database.I am using "NavisWorks6.Inavisdoc" to open my Model.I am able to get access to the Model.My problem is I want to add a user defined property called "Status" to an object in my Model. I am not sure how to create a user defined property using api.

Can anyone let me know which API points to a property in Navisworks?
