Masking and Filled Region problems..?

I wanted to cover up something up in plan view but it seems everytime i use either Masking or Filled Region it doesnt cover anything up. Ill place it over the area i want hidden and select Bring To Front but still all i get is the out lines and 100% transparent.


What part Im doing wrong? And what is a good practice on hidding unwanted line work in plan view?

Make sure your view is not set to wireframe mode because it will make filled regions become transparent as well. As for hidding unwanted lines in plan, you can try using the linesork tool set to transparent lines.
